Poems that I wrote

SHOULD HAVE BEEN THEN

If it should have been then
I could have done a lot of things
I just don't know which is which
But I know only the first
I'd say I love you very much
and I'd never doubt as much.

Now, things are quite different
For all of these, my heart laments
Sometimes I crave for that time with you
Although all the while, I am in his arms
Sometimes I secretly plead for your truth
Even though I am deeply caring for the other
Sometimes I search for your presence
In the arms of my lover.

These circumstances are consequences
I should have treasured you
I should have taken cared of you,
I could only blame myself.
If a thousand prayers
could bring you back to me,
I would pray a million
Just to spend this lifetime with you.

TURN BACK THE TIME

I wish
I could turn back time
When time was never time
It was just an abstract idea
A sequence of how things came to be.
When my world was young
Time was the present
One can spend it in any way---
Staring up the blue skies
up where the wings soar;
Listening to the tapping drops,
or going out and basking in the rain;
Running round and round and round
Till your head hurts with giddying laughter.
But now it has come to me
Time, really was a precious jewel
Even if the world stand still
It would always keep on ticking
Counting for me...
The time that would never be mine.

(poem I entered in www.poetry.com...yehey it went to the finals!)

Though You Were Never Mine

Inevitable as it could ever be
Sweetest of times would pass by
Moments of Silence would just fly
Between you and I.

Sometimes I could never explain
Why this something I feel
Would just remain to you as plain
And would never burn in flames.

It's maudlin for me to say
That I am basking in the warmth
Of your presence, Of your praise
Though you were never mine.

I could never call you mine
I will just wait for the time
And if that time comes
I could forever be truly yours.
